Cultural note for today:
Look like an ordinary tag for your baggage? That it is. However, I just found out the hard way that you must attach baggage tags to all your carry-on luggage in India. The reason why they need these is because security personnel stamps these little suckers to verify that they’ve checked your bags. If you don’t have these little tags they won’t let you clear customs (much less board the plane). These tags are required for both domestic and international flights.
I was just lucky there was an Indian gentleman who explained all this when I looked baffled as a non-English speaking security guard screamed, “Tag! Tag!” at me.
In short, “tag it and go.”

It is the little things in India, like the tag, that will provide the best stories for years to come!
It’s true! That and the deadly umbrella, masking tape, compact mirror, and Indian spices story. Totally should write that one up. 😉
Not a bad idea! I am in a writing class now, and it is not allowing for any personal writing. Soon I hope!
